1. Grand Bank for Savings FSB operates as a bank. The Bank offers saving accounts, loans, debit, credit cards, insurance, investments, mortgages, and online banking services. Grand Bank for Savings serves customers in the State of Mississippi.Covering an area of 24,960 square feet, it has a total of 79 parking spaces, 26 offices and a basketball court.
2.This building is a prefabricated metal building with a design wind pressure of 90MPH, but it needs to withstand a wind pressure of 130MPH after modification, which is equivalent to a 16-level typhoon.
3.The facade of the building is composed of window wall system, waterproof louvers and triangular steel structure decoration. The design is elegant and simple. The interior adopts window wall partition system to maintain a unified style.
Challenge:
1.Due to high labor costs, clients require the steel structure part bolted and assembly with minimal welding, which was unitized assembly for easy installation and cost savings.
2.The client desire to replace the stick curtain system with a window wall system ,which is easy to install for their 5.8-meter(19 feet) high curtain wall. The new system must be able to withstand a wind pressure of 2.2kPa.
3.The project requires a seamless connection between the stainless steel structure, louvers, Special shaped aluminum panels, and the whole complete system need to ensure waterproof, High Thermal insulation and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Solution:
1.The steel structure fabricated and welded together at the factory, and delivered as pre-assembled units that can fit into shipping containers. The remaining parts will be pre-drilled, labeled, and assembled on-site for easy identification.
2.A new Window Wall system will be developed and pre-installed at the factory, with a frame size of 7.3 inches, wind pressure resistance of 2.2 Kpa, and a single panel height of up to 5.8 meters(19 feet). This reduces on-site construction difficulty and lowers installation costs.
3. A building BIM model and 3D model is used for simulation construction layout.
